Connect2Law is a mutually beneficial referral and support network for law firms, operated by law firms. It is free to join and there is no ongoing cost.
The scheme was initially a simple referral network enabling member firms to refer on clients who they couldn’t service in a particular area of law with the benefit of a non poaching agreement and in return for a fee share.
Since 2001 Connect2Law has continued to evolve and now offers its members a comprehensive range of benefits and support services.
Core Benefits of Connect2Law Membership
1. Client retention/Attract new clients
You never need to have to turn a client away or risk losing a current client because you cannot service all of their requirements. Our objective is to assist you retain your current clients and attract new clients.
2. Non-poaching agreement
We do not market to your clients and should a client of yours who we service come back to us on another matter we refer them back to you. A written non-poaching agreement forms part of the terms and conditions and gives you peace of mind in this area.
3. Fee share

4. Enquiry helpline
Should you require an opinion on any matter relating to the running of a law firm you simply need ask. Whether it be a second opinion on a legal matter or a general practice management enquiry we’re here to help. You can call us or complete the Enquiry Form to ask for assistance if you are a member.
5. Free CPD courses/Training
There is a full programme of CPD seminars provided exclusively for Connect2Law members each year. All fee earners from member firms are entitled to attend the CPD seminars which are either heavily discounted or more likely to be free.

Core Services Available to Connect2Law Members
1. CostController
The objective of CostController is to save you money. CostController is the arm of Connect2Law which harnesses the bulk buying power of its members to achieve greater bargaining power with suppliers and achieve discounts for the collective which cannot be achieved for individuals.

2. PII
One of the key services Connect2Law offers is access to a bespoke PII offering for law firms. The Connect2Law PII offering represents an alternative to PII solution to what is available in the market place.

3. Lexcel
Lexcel is the Law Society’s practice management standard and is only awarded to those law firms who meet high management and customer care standards.
The Connect2Law Lexcel service assists our members gain the Lexcel accreditation mark from a panel of Connect2Law approved consultants, at discounted rates, and includes free ongoing information and training on Lexcel and risk management. Click here for further details.
4. Connect2Consultancy
Connect2Consultancy is the arm of Connect2Law that provides our members with access to a diverse range of consultancy services for law firms.

8. Acting for lenders on conveyancing work
An increasing number of law firms have been removed from lenders’ panels for residential mortgage lending. For a competitively priced fixed fee we currently assist a large number of our members by acting for the lender in these cases, allowing our members to retain their clients and work.
